Zahara is a very successful mother who is frequently seen with her calf. She has had two since we first sighted her. Part of the female dolphin pod success story is that Zahara and her associates have identified the Watamu protected area as a good source of food and a safe have for their young calves. Zahara feeds close to the coral reef along a 15 km part of the Kenya coast. .
